02 - Surfaced Needs
From “No One Knows” to “Everyone Knows”
I've been asking around to figure out how many different apps and systems are in use, and tellingly no one has provided me with a master list. Over time it has surfaced that, well, we do have a User Research Repository, Dovetail. And we do have a single Laerdal Product Management workflow system, ProductBoard. And, well, Advanced Documents are being used by some people some of the time, some using Notion, some using Microsoft Loop, some now using Quip
So, we've been keeping a list and notes on the Laerdal Tech Stack, and we're trying to include a Stack Map as part of the Information Flows Diagrams. This also includes a Digital Asset Library of all vendors.
Towards a coherent, unified API
Because there is no Unified API, or if there is something close to it in DataBricks it is unlikely in Tidy Data levels of tidiness, there may be a need for us to help with building a team within the Digital Business Unit and setting up Lossless processes, frameworks, and practices that radically improve the probability of success.
